1:1 replica, made using red resin, a CNC’d aluminium insert, and accurate Estée Lauder Lipstick cases.
 
Included in the box is a tin fitted with laser-cut foam, a laser-cut acrylic display stand, inspired by an extraterrestrial supercomputer, and the prop itself. Alongside these is an infographic booklet detailing the prop's history.
 
It includes Lights but NO SOUND FX.
 
The Rotary Prop is activated via a knob on the base of the lipstick body; turning it to the right activates the light effect. The rotary switch used is a 3-position switch, as was on the original prop, so we have set it up so 2 positions are off, and the rightmost position is on. 
The Toggle Prop is activated via the toggle switch near the bottom side of the base of the lipstick. The switch is a 2-position switch, so it toggles between on and off.
 
The Rotary Prop was created for the pilot episode of the new spin-off and continued to be used throughout Series 1. It also briefly crossed over into the main show, used by Sarah Jane in the Series 4 finale, Journey’s End. From Series 2, it was replaced by the Toggle Prop version, which remained in use until the series ended with Series 5. The original insert was reused for the new prop, with a new body built around it. As a result, the original Rotary Prop body still survives today, fitted with a replacement resin emitter.
